About Me

As one of the leaders in Real Estate sales for the mid-Peninsula, Susan Chong strives to provide her clients with exceptional service that is unsurpassed. For the past 19 years, Susan has earned membership into the International Presidents Club. Most recently, she earned Coldwell Banker's President's Premier award, which only 1% of Coldwell Banker Sales Associates receive internationally. Her success in real estate is driven primarily by her genuine enthusiasm for the field. Whether it is marketing, sales negotiations, construction, loans, escrows or home decorating, Susan tries to be well informed in all areas associated with home sales.

Susan is a Bay Area native who was born in San Francisco and has called the Peninsula her home for the past 25 years. Prior to her venturing into real estate sales, Susan did her studies in Biochemistry at UC Berkeley. For 5 years, she worked at Genelabs Technologies and Genentech, co-authoring several scientific papers and earning a US Patent for her research conducted on Hepatitis. Prior to her research in virology, Susan did academic research in plant pathology at UCB. Her stint in plant research was fueled by her long time attraction to plants. Shortly before joining the world of real estate, Susan further pursued her passion of plants and landscape design, by participating in a certificate program on landscape architecture through the UC extension program. Although she did not finish this program, Susan has acquired a good grasp on landscape design and an understanding of plant behavior, which has helped her in the Real Estate field.

At home, Susan, with the help of her husband, manages to raise two daughters, ages 16 and 18 years. Susan is also an avid photographer. She enjoys working with both digital and 35mm film. For a summer, Susan attended the Academy of Arts College in San Francisco, studying black and white photography. Some of Susans other hobbies include: sailing, gardening, cooking and walking on the beach. She also enjoys being out at the ballpark watching the Giants or the A's.

Every endeavor Susan has embarked on; she has done so, full-heartedly and with passion. As with raising her family, scientific research or real estate sales, she is committed to being the best at her position and finds herself her most stringent critic.

Susans diverse background and impeccable reputation in the real estate business has made her a true asset to Coldwell Banker and the community.
